Training of Legal Aid Service Lawyers on new Case-Bank

08 September 2021 Training of Legal Aid Service Lawyers on new Case-Bank

With USAID/PROLoG support, the State-funded Legal Aid Service (LAS) was able to train its lawyers on the use of the updated case-bank system (case management software), which will enable them to maintain records of all performed legal actions. The trainings were conducted by Idea Design, which was selected by USAID/PROLoG at the beginning of 2021 to update the software.

USAID/PROLoG supported LAS in the modification of the case-bank system to ensure that the system is more aligned with the needs of the lawyer appraisal system, case management and reporting requirements, and professional standards. The updates will also help LAS develop a better system for data collection and analysis, which will improve the quality and availability of statistics at the national level.

The training sessions were held on August 16-31, 2021 in Tbilisi and Kutaisi for a total of 120 LAS lawyers. Two training sessions were held in Kutaisi for lawyers from the west Georgia bureaus and 4 training sessions were held in Tbilisi for lawyers from the east Georgia bureaus.  The training participants were tested for COVID-19 in advance in accordance with national regulations.
