19 February 2021 State Funded Legal Aid Service (LAS) Launches Distance Learning Training Course

On February 18, 2021 the State funded Legal Aid Service (LAS) started trainings through new USAID/PROLoG grant assistance, which aims to support institutional development of the LAS and building the capacity of its lawyers.

The first training was dedicated to legal writing, and was conducted by lawyer and former judge Lasha Kalandadze. The topics covered included: standard of legal writing, stages of decision making and method of legal analysis and legal drafting. 20 LAS lawyers participated in the training. Opening remarks were made by the Head of Training Center Ketevan Bochorishvili and PROLoG Institutional Development Director Irina Lortkipanidze.
