02 February 2021 Moot Court Competition participants debating online.

On January 30-31, in the framework of the USAID/PROLoG grant, Georgian Law Institute (GLI) organized online a regional Moot Court Competition in Human Rights. 4 teams from 2 regional universities (Akaki Tsereteli State University and Samtkhe-Javakheti State University) participated. Teams from Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University could not participate due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The topic of the competition was restrictions imposed on free movement and economic activity during the state of emergency.

The “RNSA” team from Akaki Tsereteli State University won the competition, and team member Sophio Dgebuadze, was named the best speaker of the competition. The competition was judged by acting judges of the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
