USAID/PROLoG Supports Development of Online/Blended Teaching and Learning Guidelines for National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement
16 December 2020
The COVID‐19 global pandemic created significant challenges for higher education systems throughout the world. Schools in Georgia shifted to online modes of education delivery, but there are concerns regarding the quality and evaluation criteria of online/blended teaching and learning (T&L).
At the initiative of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement in Georgia (EQE) and USAID/PROLoG support, international experts developed guidelines and evaluation criteria for online/blended T&L, taking the local context into consideration as well as the best international practices. On one hand, the document will enable Georgian higher education institutions to develop strategies at the institutional as well as faculty level, identify their strengths and weaknesses and evaluate resources, while it will also assist EQE in identifying systemic challenges of online/blended T&L and facilitate improvements in this direction, including access to education.
