PHR Hosts a Webinar on Children and Digital Security

02 October 2020 PHR Hosts a Webinar on Children and Digital Security

On September 30, Partnership for Human Rights (PHR), under the USAID/PROLoG-funded project “Strengthening Child Access to Justice in Georgia,” hosted a webinar on “Children and Digital Security.” 30 children and several parents interested in the topic attended. The goal of the event was to provide children guidance on how to protect personal information. The webinar was conducted by Lili Pulariani, digital communications specialist.

Ms. Pulariani talked about current challenges of internet and social networks: cyber security; personal data protection; how to deal with bullying in the online world; fake news and how to identify it; “phishing”; how to protect yourself from abusers and cyber criminals; and other related issues. She also shared useful resources with the participants. PHR will continue to hold similar webinars for children to raise awareness about their rights.
