USAID/PROLoG Supported HR Legal Clinics Continue Operation During Pandemic

28 May 2020 Clinic students and supervisors discussing discrimination cases online

During the pandemic the 24 law students involved in the USAID/PROLoG supported Human Rights Law Clinic initiated 14 new discrimination cases. The Legal Clinic applied to the Public Defender’s office and self-regulatory bodies at various broadcasters. The Clinic has already reached a positive result in one of the cases-- where an employer refused to give notice needed to receive government compensation connected to Covid-19. The Client with the help of the Human Rights Chair and the Clinic, sent a letter, and the employer consequently contacted E.S and gave the Notice which allowed the client to obtain compensation from the Government.
