W-talk—Women in Politics

On May 8, USAID/PROLoG presented the final W-Talk live stream discussion on the Project Facebook page, hosted by Ana Abashidze, head of PHR. The featured guest was Tamar Chugoshvili, a Member of the Parliament. The topic of the discussion was women in politics, challenges and positive aspects of women's participation in political processes, women quotas, rules of ethics in Parliament and anti-discrimination legislation. Tamar Chugoshvili also spoke about her political career and personal challenges, as well as working experience in different sectors gender-based privileges in public and civil sectors.   

“W-Talk” is an initiative of the USAID Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (PROLoG) program which raises awareness of women's rights and the problems Georgian women face in everyday life. Speakers from law enforcement, sports, culture, media, business, the arts, and the judiciary will participate in a series of online discussions.
