On March 20, Union Sapari, under the USAID/PROLoG-funded legal aid project “Comprehensive Approach to Violence against Women and Girls,” conducted a public online lecture “Women’s rights and Violence against Women” via Facebook. The goal of the event was to provide basic information to the youth from Gardabani region on human rights and violence against women. The meeting group was composed of approximately 13 girls and 2 boys.

Baia Pataraia, director of Sapari, spoke about human rights, especially on women’s rights, sex and gender identity, gender based violence, domestic violence, femicide, forced marriage, and unequal access to parents’ property/inheritance for boys and girls. Participants were actively engaged in the session and asked many relevant questions.
