USAID/PROLoG Supports Student Summer Schools

26 July 2019 Professor Jason DeSanto talks about US Judicial Review

USAID/PROLoG continues to support various student summer schools. During July 22 – August 2, the Constitutional Court of Georgia organizes its Annual Constitutional and Human Rights Summer School, which is held for more than 10 years now and provides students and recent graduates with a unique opportunity to engage in discussions with prominent Georgian and international experts, as well as Constitutional Court judges. The Summer School includes dynamic case studies, practical exercises, and theoretical discussions. USAID/PROLoG has supported the Constitutional Court Summer School for years. This year, PROLoG provides financial assistance to the School and also engaged an international expert, Professor Jason DeSanto from Northwestern University School of Law (Chicago, USA), to deliver lectures on US judicial review.

On July 30, another summer school will commence, which is organized by ILIA State University and discusses issues of public policy and human rights. USAID/PROLoG will engage another professor from Northwestern University, Bridget Arimond, who will deliver lectures on police accountability and investigating allegations of police abuse.
