Public Lecture on Human Rights Challenges in Georgia’s Neighboring Countries

On July 4, under the framework of its USAID-funded EWMI/PROLoG grant, the National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) organized a public lecture on Human Rights challenges in Georgia’s neighboring coutnries at Free University Tbilisi. The public lecture was conducted by Levan Asatiani, Amnesty International Representative in the South Caucasus, who discussed the human rights situation and challenges in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and Russia, as well as the role of international organizations in improving the situation. The public lecture was attended by 50 participants, mostly students who engaged in discussions after the lecture.

Under the framework of the USAID/PROLoG grant, NIHR will conduct series of public lectures on different human rights topics.
