Project Description: The project aimed to promote implementation of the Istanbul Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence through advocacy for the effective collection of data required by the Convention. The project explored the current practice of data collection by the judiciary and administrative bodies, including indicators and procedures applied by different bodies, the level of coordination between them and data accessibility to the public. The study was complemented by the research of international best practices. The project team developed two sets of recommendations, for the legislative and executive branches of the government and judiciary.
