Project description: The project aims to promote the use of innovative methods in legal education programs by introducing the ‘teaching law though films’ method at Batumi State University. The group of experts will develop a guide explaining how films can be used for teaching legal concepts. The guide will also include information sources and relevant filmography. The project team will train 8 professors and about 20 students – future facilitators of discussions on ‘legal’ films. Seven screenings and discussions will be held in the lifetime of the project. Due to the pandemic, the trainings and the first screenings will take place online. An innovative approach will enrich the online learning process. Later screenings will shift to the university building where a special auditorium with a monitor will be arranged. Artistic illustrations of legal concepts will help students with deepening their knowledge of legal theory.
